Therapeutic Painting

CARE AND RENEWAL | WORKSHOPS

Painting therapy is the working of archetypal movements of coloursas they arise between light and darkness using the medium of watercolour.

Other artistic mediums are moist-on-moist and veil painting; charcoal, pastel and lead pencil drawing as part of the healing process that was developed by Liane Collot D’herbois.

The therapeutic potential of Liane’s approach to light, darkness and colour lies in the connection between the three-fold cosmic space of light, colour and darkness as an image of the three- foldness of mankind: spirit, soul and body. Light and darkness are the doors to the incarnation path of the ego, both from above and from below, through the upper pole and the lower pole of man. Working artistically in this way allows each person the to experience some movement within the theme of their retreat. Painting therapy is nourishing and healing.
