Caring for Health

Health Practitioners Supporting School Communities and Families

A variety of ongoing, age-appropriate offerings, provide for both children and adults to care for body, soul and spirit. The focus is on renewing fundamental health understandings and practices that enliven and contribute to dynamic participation with life.

Home Health Care

Home health care generally refers to practises offered by a caregiver at home for supporting children and family members to become well. This can include offering preventative measures as well as offering primary health practices that aid the return to wellness during acute illnesses.

For parents – Short experiential workshops provide parents with foundations towards home health care practices. They are delivered by a number of health practitioners.

Mantles of Care

Mantles of Care applies a salutogenic1 approach to daily self-care for children, adults, families and communities. It begins with daily hygiene to re-enliven what was once restorative and harmonising activities for the body, soul and spirit. Mantles of Care work with the everyday to restore the essence of care to the human body and promote uprightness.

Care in the Classroom and Community
Mantles of Care is a program offered in the classroom by Lyn Clifton for school communities who wish to take up professional development and mentoring to integrate it into the health and wellbeing curriculum and maintain a culture of care throughout the community.

“There is but one temple in the universe, and that is the Body of the human being. Nothing is holier than this high form, Bending before a human is reverence done to this Revelation in the Flesh. We touch heaven when we lay our hands on a human body.” – Novalis

Therapeutic Care

Therapies are professional practices offered by health practitioners to support a person back to wellness. The practitioner takes a persons case and prescribes and implements a therapy based on their assessment of the case.

Health practitioners work in private practice and also contribute to observations and child studies with educators. We help to facilitate child studies based on the seeds of a Spirit-led Life, working from the basis of Lisa Romero’s EduCareDo lesson “Wonder, Positive Social Connection and Virtue”
